FAQ

Perm / Rebonding

Q: Can bleached hair be permanently straightened?
This will not be possible as your hair has the chemical processes will irreparably damage your hair that has already been weakened by the previous bleach processes. We would recommend to trim off the bleached sections, if it can be considered, before proceeding with the straightening service.

Q: Can I still curl my hair afterward?
Yes, but the results may not last as long nor as defined as your natural hair. We recommend using a temperature setting between 150~180℃ on your styling tool.

As your hair has been chemically processed, we recommend against using hot iron on a daily basis as it’s important to let your hair rest too!

Q: What is the minimum hair length required?
The recommended hair length is a minimum of 5cm for perm / rebonding service.

Q: What perm service do you offer in the salon?
At Number76, we offer two types of perm services in the salon which are cold perm and digital perm.

Cold perm is a permanent service to alter your hair texture without the usage of any heated device. The results can last approximately 2 to 3 months, depending on your hair condition as well as the care and styling routine practiced at home.

Digital perm, also familiarly known as the hot perm, alters your hair texture permanently with the input of heat which allows the curls to last longer. It is possible for results to last up to 6 months, depending on your hair condition as well as the care and styling routine practiced at home.

As the results for both services are similar, the main differences lie in the technique and lasting period. If you’re considering a perm service, you are most welcome to come by for a free consultation with a stylist who can check on your hair condition in person and advise further on which perm best suits your hair.
